Police are investigating an alleged rape in March on Sunday.

A woman in her 30s reported a serious assault in the Wigstones Road area. Police are not linking it to the rape of a woman in Wisbech on February 9.

They said: “We would like to reassure the public incidents of this nature are particularly rare.

“We would continue to appeal for information in relation to the incidents, and ask anyone who may have information to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
