Grants up for grabs

A LOCAL charity is looking for people to give money to as party of its annual grant scheme.

The Thomas Squire Charity is looking to make grants at their meeting on October 5 to people who live in the parishes of Elm, Emneth, Fridaybridge and Coldham and are aged under 25.

Grants are for those needing help in connection with educational training during the forthcoming educational year.

They can be awarded to assist in the provision of outfits, tools, instruments or books to applicants who are already at college or who are starting further education. However, the trustees are only able to consider applicants for grants for degrees, HND qualifications and apprentices entering trade or professional training.

Application forms, which must be completed annually can be obtained from the Post Office stores at Elm, Emneth or Fridaybridge and must be returned not later than September 15 2012 to Mrs S J Lamber, The Firs, Basin Road, Outwell, PE14 8QT.
