Years of hard work to become ‘outstanding’ in the eyes of Ofsted have paid off for a Fenland childminder.

Zowie Bishop-Saunders, who runs The Woodlands Daycare in Outwell, has received top marks from the education inspectors, five years after being rated as ‘good’.

A glowing report, published last week, said the childminder offered a “warm, welcoming and child-centred environment” with high-quality resources.

Children are valued and highly-motivated and make “excellent progress”.

Mrs Bishop-Saunders, who works with her assistants Jass Dulaic, Julie Cousins and Karen Chapman, said: “We have been working really hard over the last few years to be outstanding, and are very proud of what we have been able to achieve.”
