Help choose the arts events in your local Cambridgeshire library for Spring 2020

‘The Library Presents’ invites members of the public to help choose which performances and workshops they would like to see in their next season (Spring 2020).

Communities can view a “menu” of events in participating libraries or on-line at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/arts.

The menu includes dance, theatre, music, magic, comedy, circus, puppetry, storytelling, poetry and workshops in a variety of disciplines, from visual and digital art to music, theatre and dance.

Menus and “choosing slips” will be available in participating libraries from Wednesday 11 September. People can browse the menu, fill out a slip with their choices and add it to the box.

Alternatively, people can browse the Menu in the comfort of their own home and then go to the library to fill out the slip.

All the choices will help decide what is programmed at each individual library. The full programme will be announced in January 2020.

Participating Cambridgeshire libraries include: Chatteris, March, Wisbech, Whittlesey, Littleport and Ely.

Joanne Gray, Cambridgeshire's partnerships, projects and funding manager, said: “Each season of The Library Presents is shaped by the community. The programme will be different in every participating library, and your opinions now help shape the programme in the Spring. Come and have your say in the next season and help us bring an amazing range of theatre, music, and dance performances, children’s activities and workshops for all ages to the heart of your community.

The choosing menu can be viewed on the council website and the selection is open until Saturday October 5

Tickets for the Autumn Season programme of events can be purchased at the participating libraries, by phone or online at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/arts where you can also watch a video showcasing the new season of arts delights to look forward to this autumn.
