More members are being sought for a new Street Pride group that has just been set up in Tydd St Giles.

Suzanne and Christopher Hodder decided to form the group after getting fed up with all the rubbish they found on their daily walks with their dog.

This Saturday (May 9) they are carrying out a litter pick for an hour round the village and they are keen for other volunteers to join them.

They will be meeting at the village’s community centre car park at 10am.

Mrs Hodder said: “We go out walking our dog every day and we see how bad the litter sometimes is, so we wanted to do something about it.

“There are just four of us in the group at the moment and obviously we’d like others to join.

“Anyone is very welcome to come along on Saturday and find out more about our plans and how they can help.”

There are now 12 Street Pride groups across Fenland.
