Helping to spread the word

THE Norwich and Peterborough Building Society March branch is helping Parkinson’s UK to spread the word, by covering the cost of a year’s supply of newsletters to its local members.

Gillian Johnson’s husband suffers from Parkinsons and attends the club Parkinson’s UK holds at March Braza.

When the charity was in need of funds to help produce the monthly newsletter it sends to 120 members, she turned to the branch for support.

Claire Gledhill, manager at N&P’s March branch, was happy to help.

Gillian said: “We are thrilled with the support that we’ve received from N&P. As we’re a registered charity every penny is important to us and the more support from organisations like N&P that we can get, the more money we can put towards finding better treatments for people with Parkinson’s.”

Claire said: “I am pleased that we have helped our local branch of Parkinson’s UK. It helps so many people in the area and it’s important that the newsletter continues as there’s a lot of valuable information included in it.”
