LEARN MOREMarch’s hugely-popular Summer Festival takes place at the town’s West End Park from tomorrow (Friday) to Sunday.
The 20th annual festival programme will provide music and activities to appeal to all ages and tastes.
In addition to music and dance, over the weekend there’s a gala parade featuring floats and walkers, classic cars, children’s fancy dress, fairground rides and bouncy castles, children’s entertainment, a dog show, wrestling – and even a soap box derby!
Throughout the weekend refreshments will be available.
The March Summer Festival is run by a committee made up of volunteers representing various groups, associations and organisations within the town.
Marcus Phillips, chairman of the Festival, said: “Once again I believe that there is something for everyone at this year’s Festival.
“From all the committee, I would like to thank everyone involved with the festival and wish all of you a fantastic weekend.”
March Summer Festival, a major community event, has been running alongside the March Lions Club Gala, in its present format, since the year 2000.
The gala, a charity fund-raising event, with a variety of stalls provided by numerous local organisations and traders, has been an annual fixture in the town calendar since the early 1990s.
The festival is supported by March Town Council and Fenland District Council.
