Air pollution will be high in areas of East Anglia today, Wednesday, July 1.
A southeasterly feed of air from the continent will increase air pollution levels to moderate (predominantly ozone) across much of the UK, with a risk of isolated areas of high air pollution across East Anglia.
Adults and children with lung problems, and adults with heart problems, should reduce strenuous physical exertion, particularly outdoors, and particularly if they experience symptoms.
People with asthma may find they need to use their reliever inhaler more often. Older people should also reduce physical exertion.
Anyone experiencing discomfort such as sore eyes, cough or sore throat should consider reducing activity, particularly outdoors.
Areas of moderate air pollution will gradually become less widespread, becoming confined to East Anglia, for Thursday, and then predominantly southern England for both Friday and Saturday.
