Hospital board to hold meeting in Wisbech

One of the main hospitals serving Fenland is to hold a board meeting in Wisbech later this month.

Patients and residents are being invited to attend the session with directors of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.

The event will take place in the meeting room at the North Cambs Hospital on Tuesday, May 28, from 10.30am.

Board meetings normally take place at the hospital’s site in King’s Lynn.

But the trust’s chairman, Professor Steve Barnett, said they felt they needed to be more accessible to the public across the wider region that it serves.

He said: “North Cambridgeshire Hospital is an important part of the QEH family.

“As a board, we feel it is important to be visible to all parts of the Trust for our staff and patients.

“That is why we have decided to hold the next board meeting in Wisbech to allow our staff to attend as well as members of the public.

“I would like to encourage our Cambridgeshire patients to come along and find out more about your local hospital.”
