Illegal anglers caught in police net in Fenland




Joint action between Fenland police and Environment Agency enforcement officers saw seven people caught illegally fishing.

The Rural Crime Action Team and the fisheries enforcement officers carried out checks on waterways in the Fenland area and as a result seven people are facing fines.

Posting to their Facebook page Fenland Police said eight offences were detected as a result of the action - seven rod licence offences and one person was caught fishing out of season on a river.
