WEST Norfolk Council is seeking legal advice on whether a caravan has breached planning laws.
The council has served a High Court injunction after a caravan was moved onto land in Long Lots Drove, off Smeeth Road, Marshland St James, on Sunday.
This site does not have planning permission for residential development.
The injunction, which forbids the siting of a caravan, mobile home and associated residential paraphernalia, was issued on Thursday last week.
The notice, which has a 24-hour compliance notice was served directly onto the individuals on Tuesday.
The council has reported that the caravan is still on site at the time of writing.
A spokesman said: “The caravan is still in place so we are now seeking counsel advice as to whether the order has been breached.”
A nearby resident, who did not wish to be named, said these people were “flouting the law”.
He said: “This is a minor road and sometimes it is busier than Smeeth Road.”
