Atelier East are extending a welcome to the local community by inviting everyone to join them on Friday August 16 for the special opening of their 8th Annual Summer Exhibition at Wisbech Museum between 7pm to 9pm
The event will be a celebration of great art, with a wide variety of work from talented artists across Fenland, East Anglia and even one from Israel. Live music will be provided on the night by Neil Cousin.
Christine Pike from ADeC who are now organising the exhibition said: “This will this be a fantastic chance to preview the exhibition before it opens to the public. Throughout the exhibition visitors will be invited to vote on their ‘Best in Show’ with the winner winning a featured artist entry into the Babylon Gallery’s Christmas Open. As ever it’s going to be hard to choose a winner, there are so many excellent pieces from which to choose.”
The launch is free to attend but contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to come along.
This will be the 8th year that Atelier East have put on this free exhibition for the community, having started back in 2006 at the Angles Theatre, Wisbech. Atelier East was set up to support and promote the Arts in Fenland and make taking part in arts and cultural projects more accessible for everyone.
The show is open to the public from August 20 to October 12. Full details are on www.adec.org.uk
