Schools it’s time to grab your trainers and get festive for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity’s Run, Run Rudolph
With less than 100 days until Christmas Day, a charity is inviting schools across Cambridgeshire to warm hearts and raise smiles by participating in a 2024 Rudolph Run.
This fun and engaging event offers a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about the importance of community support, whilst also enjoying a fun, festive activity.
Starting in November, schools are invited by Arthur Rank Hospice Charity - which has a base in Wisbech - to host their own Rudolph Run in their hall, field, or playground. This sponsored event encourages everyone, including teachers, to get involved.
The Rudolph Run not only offers an interactive way for children to learn about hospice care during the Christmas season but also highlights the importance of community spirit and the joy of giving.
To make the event even more meaningful, a short, age-appropriate presentation can be requested for delivery in classes or assemblies.
This provides insights into the vital work of the Hospice and illustrates how the funds raised will make a difference.
Each participating school will also receive a comprehensive planning pack, which also includes a pair of festive Reindeer antlers to ensure all participants look the part.
Commenting ahead of this year’s events, Sarah Clayton, community fundraiser for Arthur Rank, said: “We’re so excited about the return of the Rudolph Runs, and we can’t wait to see the participants dressed up and ready to race.
“We really do work in partnership with the schools to make these a success, and any amount of money raised really makes a huge difference, and the school’s dedication and generosity are invaluable in sustaining our services.”
Special guest appearances by the charity’s very own mascot Arthur Bear are very much a highlight of the Rudolph Run. He’s a popular running member who loves joining in the festivities, but is a busy bear, so early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
