A legendary comedian will be helping Wisbech to kick off the festive season in style.
Jimmy Cricket will be giving a special afternoon performance in The Institute before heading over to switch on the town’s Christmas lights on Sunday, November 29.
The Northern Irish comedian hit the big time in the 1980s after winning Search for a Star and went onto have his own television and radio shows.
He was a favourite on Royal Variety Performance.
Christmas With Cricket promises to be a funfilled festive variety show for the whole family.
Also featuring in the show, which will be performed in the Tower Ballroom, is vocalist May Marion, musician Ian Larkin and the Nine Lives Theatre Company.
Youngsters from the theatre company, which is based at the Institute, will be entertaining audiences with their singing and dancing.
This is a chance to see a Jimmy before he sets off on a whistle stop Christmas tour with the Osmonds in Andy Williams Christmas Spectacular.
