Pupils learn about job opportunities at careers event in Chatteris

It was a day of inspiring the next generation of officers for Fenland police at a skills escalation event at the North CambsTraining Centre in Chatteris on Tuesday.

Officers joined colleagues from recruitment as well as the NHS, RAF, Fire, and various welding and construction companies to give pupils from local primary schools a first look at a few different career paths.

A spokesperson for Fenland police said: “The children got to hear all about the role we do day-to-day, and have a look at the different equipment we carry and keep in our vehicles.
