Joint sparks drugs arrest in Wisbech

Police have arrested man after finding a quantity of drugs on him following a search sparked by him being spotted with a joint.

A police spokesperson said: "On Monday (20) the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team were out assisting their colleagues from CID.

"When they happened to stumble across a person who was holding a cannabis joint in their hand. A search was carried out under section 23 misuse of drugs act and we found a quantity of drugs.

"This person was arrested on suspicion with intent supply a class A and class B drug. The person was taken to the police investigation centre at King's Lynn where enquiries continue."
