Make a will and make a difference

With the law changing this month on what happens to people’s estates if they die without a will, local solicitors are urging people to get their affairs in order.

During Will Aid’s Make a Will month of November, solicitors are offering to write basic wills without charging their normal fee – in return for clients making a donation to Will Aid of £95 for a single will or £150 for a pair of mirror wills.

Solicitors taking part include Christine Morey, of Metcalfe Copeman and Pettefar, in Wisbech.

All the money donated is shared between the nine participating charities that carry out life-changing work in the UK and around the world. Shirley Marsland, campaign manager for Will Aid, said: “You can leave a great deal of unnecessary stress and trouble behind you if you die without a will.”
