Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman’s body found in Cambridgeshire village

A man has been arrested for murder after a woman was found dead at a Fenland home last night, Monday.

Police were called to an address in Murrow Bank, Murrow near Wisbech at 9.34pm by the ambulance service to reports of the sudden death of a woman.

Officers attended the scene and the death is currently being treated as suspicious.

A police cordon is currently in place and is expected to be for some time.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 9.29pm to an address in Murrow Bank, Murrow.

“Two ambulance crews were sent to the scene. There was one patient, a woman, but she sadly died at the scene.”

A 51-year-old man from Murrow has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.
