Police stopped a rave in Sutton Bridge, turning away numerous vehicles heading for Centenary Way.

Community policing inspector Jim Tyner had warned the day before the planned rave on Saturday, November 1, that a dispersal notice had been put in place to stop people attending.

Several raves have been held in the area recently, and they are believed to be linked to a man who has been living on Centenary Way land owned by EDF Energy without the company’s consent. The man was evicted from the site last Monday.

Fed-up residents said the music starts in the evening and continues through to noon the following day.
