A charity is getting ready for summer by putting on a show later this week.

Eddie’s Fenland Artworks, which was formerly Cambridgeshire Mencap, will be putting on its Summer Holiday show and artwork display in March Town Hall on Friday.

The group provides adults with learning disability with an opportunity to enjoy arts, crafts, music and drama.

Free taster sessions are offered.

This year’s show will be held between 11am and noon. Entry is £2.

A popular Irish singer will be performing in March later this month.

Tom Kennedy will be putting on a concert at Trinity Church, High Street, on Saturday, June 28, at 7pm.

Light refreshments will be served during the interval.

Tickets cost £5. For more information call June Money on 01354 656550.

Retired international test cricketer Henry Olonga will be coming to Wisbech.

Mr Olonga will be sharing stories from his cricketing career and life, as well as treating the audience to some of his spectacular singing. His appearance is part of the After Hours Live Rose Fair Special event.

Fast bowler Mr Olonga will be speaking at the Queen Mary Centre on Friday, July 4, from 7.30pm. Entry is free.

After Hours Live is a free monthly entertainment event normally held in Octavia’s Café.
