Formerly known as the March Grammar and Neale-Wade Former Students Association, the organisation is open to all former students of both schools.

In 1919 a group of March Grammar School Old Boys organised a cricket match against the school and masters in order to raise funds for a memorial in memory of their school chums who died in the First World War. Each year since then the ‘Old Boys’ and their descendants have held a re-union dinner.

On Friday June 28 there will be the 100th re-union of the Association which will be commemorated with a cricket match between a side representing the Neale-Wade Association and the MCC at March Town Cricket Club. During the day there will be a lunch and an event in the evening.

In the Association’s centenary year, the emphasis will be on establishing a long relationship with the Neale-Wade Academy, building a legacy for the future and respecting the history of the Association.

The Association has commissioned and has had placed in St George’s Memorial Church in Ypres, Belgium a special plaque dedicated to all former students of March Grammar School and Neale-Wade Academy from WW1 and subsequent conflicts.

Also during this special year the Association will be supporting "Scotty's Little Soldiers', the charity set up by Nikki Scott in memory of her husband and former Neale-Wade student Corporal Lee Scott. He lost his life while serving in the forces in Afghanistan a decade ago. The charity offers support to bereaved Forces children in the UK .

The Association's annual meeting will be on May 9 at the Neale-Wade at 6pm - but unlike previous years there will be no dinner afterwards.

The Association, which is looking for sponsorship for a booklet commemorating the milestones of the school and the Association, has a new website www.nealewade.org.
