March Boxing Club receives Queen's Award for Voluntary Service - it's like an MBE for volunteer groups

March Amateur Boxing Club has been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest accolade a voluntary group can receive in the UK.

The Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Mrs Julie Spence presented the with their award at a socially distance presentation ceremony held at the at the BRASA Club on Friday.

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is considered the 'MBE for volunteer groups' and was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of the Queen’s coronation.
