A charity which works with people with learning difficulties is appealing for more volunteers.

March-based charity Eddie’s have lost a number of helpers over the summer and are looking for people to step forward.

Suzanne Lombardo, volunteers support co-ordinator, said “At Eddie’s we pride ourselves on the training opportunities we have available for new volunteers who are able to fit it in around work and home commitments.

“We are really keen to meet with anyone who thinks they might be interested in volunteering.”

Volunteers are needed with the Artworks Day Centre, which runs on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10am to 3pm. This service, which is hoped to also run on Wednesdays, runs arts and crafts activities along with music and drama.

The one-to-one befriending service is also looking for volunteers to help support and encourage clients to go out into the community and have a social life. Call Suzanne Lombardo on 01354 651166 or email Suzanne.lombardo@eddies.org.uk
