The GER Sports Club at March will be hosting a charity darts day in aid of the oncology department at Peterborough City Hospital.

All profits from the event will be donated to this registered charity (charity number: 1050601). The Oncology department treats local people for cancer and carries out much needed research into the disease at a local level.

Doors will open at 11.30am, on Saturday, March 14, with draws for the competitions taking place at 1pm, with play starting shortly afterwards. The darts events will include cricket triples; pairs (darts players playing with non-darts players) and singles; plus annual singles and pairs cups. The day will once again include a grand auction and draw, which normally commence at about 5.30pm.

The eight dartboards have all been sponsored (for a donation of £50) by: The GER Hot Shotz darts team; Darren Wojtowych Gardening Services; JMC Construction; Jonny Pearce; The Sportsman, Chatteris; MPV Private Hire; SDM Fabrication Limited and Bob Harrington. Local businesses supporting the day include: Julie’s Bakery, Boyes, Mallets Jewellers, Storeys Arts and Crafts, Greetings, The Toy Box and Peterborough United Football Club.

Organiser Mark Cross is still on the look-out for draw prizes and would be very grateful of any donations.
