A March school is a step closer to developing a new and improved outdoor area for its youngest pupils thanks to two generous donations.
Burrowmoor Primary School was given £1,500 by the local Freemasons, in addition to a collection of timber and building materials courtesy of builder’s merchants, Ridgeons. Both donations are to be used to improve the reception class outdoor area, including rebuilding the existing storage shed, and came about following an application from a member of staff at Burrowmoor.
The donations were recognised in a formal presentation attended by school staff, children, Brian Sutton of the Freemasons and representatives of Ridgeons. Carolyn Davies, phase leader for the school’s reception class, said: “We are very grateful to the Freemans and Ridgeons and look forward to continuing to develop a fabulous outdoor learning environment for the children.” • Children and staff from Burrowmoor are pictured with representatives from Ridgeons.
