March Reserves reached the Cambs Junior Challenge Cup Final by beating Whittlesford United 4-2 at home.

March were 3-0 up at the break with goals from David Jackson, Dayne Moore and Sean White. Jackson got another in the second half between two goals for the opponents.

The final will be at the Glass World Stadium on Wednesday, April 22, at 7.30pm versus league rivals Burwell Swifts.

March Res have another cup final at Wisbech tonight (Wednesday) versus Wisbech SM Res.

March Town, who had no Saturday game in Thurlow Nunn League Division One, travelled to Team Bury on Monday in an attempt to consolidate their top six place.

March had a 2-2 midweek derby draw with Downham with goals from Evans and Merryweather. A late Downham equaliser robbed the Hares of two points.

Hemingford A 2, Upwell 4

Upwell beat Hemingford, who had eight regular reserve players drop down due to their reserves not having a game for the last four weeks.

Aaron Marshall took advantage of a huge goalkeeping error to tap into an empty net. Jack Watson doubled Upwell’s advantage after lifting the ball over the oncoming keeper, which clipped the post on the way in.

Marshall completed his brace in the second half, before Gary Green’s cross was headed into the Hemingford net by their own player.

Upwell Res battled well against March Rangers, who were boosted by their first team not having a game. Rangers ended up winning 1-0.
