A village historical group is appealing for help in the compilation of a special memorial book honouring those service personnel who lost their lives during the Great War.

Friends of St Clement’s Church Historial Group at Outwell is asking for help from people who lost a relative or ancestor whilst serving in World War 1.

The group is gathering information for the book to honour people whose names appear on the village War Memorial.

Members are looking for photographs of the servicemen, details of where they lived and worked and any other useful information that might assist in compiling the book.

It is hoped to collate enough information to exhibit the book later this year in Outwell church to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WWI.
