Superfast broadband could be delivered to thousands of homes and businesses in Fenland.

A total of 13,500 premises in the district can now take advantage of high speed internet access after the Connecting Cambridgeshire programme has rolled out its first phase of fibre broadband.

Another 400 premises where fibre delivery has been delayed are due to be connected by the end of March.

BT is currently investigating areas where gaps in speed and coverage have been reported. These include Coldham, Elm, Parson Drove, Friday Bridge, Gorefield and Benwick.

Additional fibre coverage will be delivered in Chatteris, March, Wisbech, Whittlesey, Elm, Tydd St Giles and Wimblington between now and June 2017.
