A DODDINGTON Motocross rider was flown to Peterborough City Hospital on Saturday afternoon after an accident at the Fenland track.

Magpas Helimedix Doctor Darren Reid and Volunteer Paramedic Adam Carr)flew in the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance to Doddington and arrived at 2.25pm, after a motocross rider collided with a fence when he fell off his bike.

The Magpas team assessed the patient a man in his 40s, who suffered back, chest and shoulder injuries and administered strong pain relief (the EEAST Ambulance Crew on the scene had already given him some initial pain relief). The Helimedix then flew the man to Peterborough City Hospital, monitoring his condition all the way, where on arrival he was in a stable condition.
