Motorcyclist injured in collision

A TEENAGE motorcyclist was in a serious but stable condition after being involved in a collision with a car in Chatteris yesterday (Wednesday) evening.

The 18-year-old suffered head and leg injury the accident which happened at around 4.40pm.

The air ambulance together with Magpas Helimedix team Dr Ali Tompkins and volunteer paramedic Simeon Tomlinson attended the scene along with a land ambulance team.

The Magpas teamm assessed the patient and gave him antibiotics before accompanying him in the land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital, where he was met by a consultant led trauma team.

On arrival at the hospital his condition was described as serious but stable.
