Hundreds of budding young footballers took part in a tournament at March last week.
Nearly 80 teams competed at the Elm Road Sports Field in a contest organised by March Rangers. Matches were held for under 6s and 7s, which were not competitive, along with under 8s, 9s, 10s and under 10 girls. Winners were: under 8s, Alconbury Colts; under 9s, Wisbech St Mary Purple; under 10s , March Rangers Youth; under 10 girls , Cambridge City. Fair play trophies were also awarded to: Alconbury Colt, Brampton Spartans, Park Farm and March Town. The event raised between £2,000 and £3,000 which will go towards pitch maintenance and buying new equipment. Tydd St Mary and Glinton youngsters are pictured above.Photo: MFCP15AF05471
