A new easy-to-read version of a booklet has been produced to raise awareness of domestic abuse amongst adults with learning difficulties.

The Cambridgeshire Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Partnership has been working with VoiceAbility’s Speak Out Council to create a new version of the leaflet ‘Opening Closed Doors’.

The booklet is aimed at adults with learning disabilities.

It includes advice on how friends and family can support someone who is experiencing domestic abuse and how they can help them to stay safe.

The booklet is now available in day centres.

A pdf version can be e-mailed by contacting Amanda Warburton at Cambridgeshire County Council at: amanda.warburton@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or by phoning: 01223 699295.
