Objections to overly large shed

RESIDENTS nine properties have objected to plans to build a large shed in a garden at a home in Fridaybridge.

And today (Wednesday) Fenland’s Planning Committee will decide whether or not to grant the application by Mr J Lea to build the shed at 19 Tower Road.

A report to today’s meeting explains Mr Lea’s application is part retrospective but also recommends approval for the shed labelled as ‘far exceeding the proportions of a normal garden shed’ by opponents.

Objectors claim the shed, which is set to be 6.4metres wide, 5metres long and up to 3.6metres high, will dominate the view from their homes.

They also fear what it could be used for in the future, even if permission is granted only for domestic purposes.
