Police officers arrest youth for possession of weapon in Wisbech Park

Police have tracked down a youth who was reported carrying a weapon in a family-friendly park at the weekend.

Yesterday, Policing Fenland put a post up on Facebook in relation to a group of teenagers that reportedly had weapons in Wisbech Park on Sunday.

At the time officers were unable to locate those involved and they had recovered a number of weapons.

This morning the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested a youth in connection with this matter.

The youth in question has been taken to the Police Investigation Centre at Lynn where their enquiries continue.
