Are you looking for a new opportunity for the New Year?

Rural Cambs Citizens Advice Bureau is looking for volunteers to become gateway assessors at the bureau in Wisbech.

Gateway assessors meet people face-to-face or speak to them on the phone, going through the client’s query and assisting with information. As an assessor, you will answer lots of questions and resolve problems, but you do not need to know all the answers as the computer system will provide all the answers you need.

The CAB is looking for people of all ages and backgrounds who can volunteer on a regular basis. Some computer skills are needed but the most important ability is good communication with people of all abilities.

Full training will be offered to the right individuals and out-of-pocket expenses will be paid to get to the bureau. Volunteers will get the full support and guidance of an Advice Service Leader to help them.

To find out more and apply to be a volunteer with Rural Cambs CAB, an application form can be collected from the bureau at 9 Church Mews, Wisbech, Monday to Thursday morning. You can also email recruitment@ruralcambscab.org.uk for an application form. If you would like an informal chat about the role, please drop into the bureau and ask for Carole.
