A childminder has been judged as ‘outstanding’ by education inspectors. Emma Bishop, who runs her business from her home in Manea, received Ofsted’s top rating following an inspection. She said: “I am very proud and delighted to be awarded ‘outstanding’. I wouldn’t have been able to get this without support from my family, the children I care for and their families.” Ofsted said Emma demonstrates an “uncompromising drive” to ensure she provides the very best for all children in her care. “She continually evaluates her provision, taking account of the views of parents and children. She is highly effective in identifying areas to develop and improve in response to the needs of the children.” Children “flourish” in her care, and they are extremely motivated and eager to learn, it added.
She also provides a wealth of interesting and highly stimulating activities and uses her “excellent” knowledge of the children to plan and adapt learning opportunities for all. Emma is pictured with some of the children she cares for. Photo: SUPPLIED
