The Billy Lee Back on My Own Two Feet fund has been boosted by a further £3,000.
Last week Bloom and Wake, who employ Billy as an apprentice, received the donation from the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).
Billy’s colleagues at the Outwell firm have set themselves the target of raising £10,000 for the appeal to buy a Helix 3D leg for the Wisbech St Mary man after surgeons amputated his right leg as a result of a rare cancer.
Office manager Melanie Mattless was thrilled with the donation, which adds to the £1,000 already raised by the firm.
She said: “Billy is such a positive young man and we want to help him.”
The firm is organising a race night in Outwell Village Hall on June 13.
An appeal has gone out for raffle prizes for the night.
Tickets for the event cost £10 and are available from the firm.
