Fenland District Council could be taking legal action to get the owner of a Wisbech building to finish repairs to the site.

Councillors have served a notice on the owner to put right Constantine House, but building work ceased in May.

Finishing off the roof, re-decoration and repairs to the windows, doors and shop fronts still have to be completed.

Cabinet member David Oliver said: “Concerted efforts by officers to engage with the owner to make him fulfill all his obligations have so far proved unsuccessful.

“We continue to make every effort to force the owner to comply fully with the Section 215 Notice, and are now considering all the options available to us to get the necessary works completed, including potential legal action.”
