Police are warning residents to be vigilant after a suspicious man and vehicle was found along the side of a property in Sutton Saint Edmunds last night, Tuesday June 9.

The incident took place in Broadgate Road and a white Citroen Berlingo type van in white was parked outside a property.

A male with an Irish accent was seen along the side of the property stating that he had lost his dog. As soon as the owner of the property asked a question the male then left.

It was then that items were found to have been taken from the shed of the property. There is no registration number of the vehicle but the male is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches, white, Irish accent, tall and thin in the face.
