Peterborough United star Grant McCann was swamped by young fans when he called in at a football fun day at March Town’s ground.
The club’s international midfielder spent half an hour signing autographs and chatting with scores of children at the last of three coaching days organised by the club and Fenland District Council’s sports development team.
Altogether more than 100 children aged 4-12 took part over the three days.
Nick Sheppard, Peterborough United’s community manager, said: “Every child left with a signed programme, a certificate and most importantly a smile on their face.
“The children were fantastic over all three days and we’re looking forward to returning to March again in the future.
“We’d like to say a special thank you to Paul Crosbie and March Town Football Club, who welcomed us to their facility.”
