Fenland District Council has a new chairman and vice-chairman.
Councillors Ken Mayor, of Whittlesey and Carol Cox, of Wisbech, will hold the posts for the next two years. They were elected unanimously at the council’s annual meeting.
Outgoing chairman Councillor Michael Humphrey, of Gorefield, thanked all the Members and council officers for their support during his tenure.
“The two years have flown past,” he said. “It has been an honour to serve the authority and I’ve
really enjoyed it.”
Councillor Mayor, the vice-chairman for the past two years, said: “Looking at all the photographs
of previous chairmen around this room, I never imagined that one day I would follow in their footsteps.”
