A proposal to extend the opening hours of the March Co-Op Foodstore has been met with opposition by local residents.
The store wants to open from 7am to 10pm every day, including bank holidays but residents living near the Badgeney Road store are already unhappy with noise issues.
The Co-Op has set out a proposed Noise Management Plan, as requested by Environmental Protection, and planning officers state that if the delivery and operations parameters are adhered to, the impact to residents will be minimised. Officers recommend that the application be passed but suggest the best approach would be to test it for one year.
Complaints include deliveries in early morning and late at night.
