Turbine plans at Manea

FENLAND Council’s planning committee is due to decide today (Wednesday) whether to approve six wind turbines on a Manea farm.

Mr M Fowler has applied to build the 15.545 metre high (hub height) turbines at Bottom Farm, on Fodder Fen.

However, planning officers are recommending that the two applications be refused as there is inadequate biodiversity information and the applicant has failed to demonstrate there will be no adverse effect on the nearby Ouse Washes site.

Doddington council support the plans, but 11 objections have been received and a petition with 120 signatures with concerns over wildlife.
