Printing error discovered in Fenland

Ballot boxes have arrived at the Hudson Leisure Centre in Wisbech as the count begins.

People across Fenland have been voting all day in the general and local elections.

Some of the boxes are being emptied so the votes can be verified.

A problem has been discovered with one book of ballot papers for the March Town Council election. This does not affect the General Election.

A printing error had resulted in 100 ballot papers displaying the names of the district council candidates instead of the town council candidates.

Only 56 papers were issued and these will be rejected by law.

The presiding officer made immediate contact with the council team.
