Year Six pupils at Outwell’s Beaupre Primary School left with a flourish on Friday.
They were given a super send-off with a special leavers’ prom – and rose to the occasion in glamorous outfits, arriving in style in transport ranging from a disability scooter to an open-topped sports car!
The prom was held in honour of a total of 25 11-year-olds – and they were joined by the rest of the school for food and a disco. Debbie Rawson, chairperson of Beaupre Fundraising Group, said: “They loved it and thought it was wonderful. I had a text the next day saying it was the best yet.
“The children chose the food and the music for the disco and helped to prepare the food, corsages for the girls and button-holes for the boys.
“There was a lot of help from parents and staff and we’d like to say a big thank you to them.”
