St Peter’s Church in Wisbech is once again staging a Last Night of The Proms event – with the promise of it being more spectacular than ever.
Chatteris Town Brass Band, together with the Clarkson Singers, will fill the church with music on Saturday, September 20.
The audience will be encouraged to join in with old favourites such as Rule Britannia and Jerusalem.
There will also be music popular during the First World War from 1914 to 1918, as a tribute to those who served in the conflict which started 100 years ago.
Another highlight will be the auction, where the winner gets to conduct a full brass band!
The evening costs £10 or £7.50 for concessions, including a buffet and refreshments during the interval. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
A raffle will also be held, with profits going to the upkeep of the church.
For tickets contact Adele and Trevor Wright on 01945 587653 or the church office on 01945 582508.
Tickets will also be available on the door.
