Public meeting over town lights

A second public meeting is planned to discuss the deillumination of more than 270 streetlights across the Wisbech area.

A meeting held last month raised a lot of questions from resident, but nobody from Cambridgeshire County Council could attend due to the impending election.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 20, at 10am at the Salvation Army Citadel, John Thompson Road, Wisbech.

There will be representatives from the county council and Balfour Beatty in attendance. An invitation has also been extended to the new UKIP county councillors.

Residents believe there has been lack of consultation on the proposal and are hoping this meeting will be more positive. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
