A public meeting on the future of March’s Estover Playing Field is hoped to be called shortly.

March Town Council received an update on the progress of the project during a meeting last night (Monday).

Clerk Clive Lemmon told the meeting that Companies House has returned the paperwork for the Estover Playing Field 2015 community interest company.

But he also stated that the council is hoped to receive the lease for the field from Cambridgeshire County Council in the next few weeks.

Mr Lemmon said: “A public meeting concerning Estover Playing Field can’t be called until both documents are in our possession.

“We hope by the middle of June to have everything and it will be necessary to provide the current Estover Playing Field Association with some short term funding.”
