Pupils, staff and Friends of Wisbech Grammar raise over £2000 for charity

LEARN MOREPupils at Wisbech Grammar School have been busy raising money for charity this Christmas with donations going to EACH, Scotty's Little Soldiers, St Peter's and St Paul's Church and Meadowgate Academy's mini-bus appeal.
In total they have raised £1,000.73 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices - EACH over the Christmas period. Money was raised through a series of events; Prep pupils organised a raffle, pupils, and staff donated money to wear Christmas jumpers and a collection was held at the end of the year Carol Service. Pupils also raised £124 for Scotty's Little Soldiers and donated money to St Peter's and St Paul's Church through the end of year Carol Service.
The 'Mirror Ball' organised by Friends of Wisbech Grammar School also raised £650 for the Meadowgate Academy mini-bus appeal.
A spokesman for the school said: "We are very proud of everyone's fundraising efforts and our chosen charities will certainly benefit from these donations."
