RKA Kickboxing in March scoops up readers’ choice award for second year running




Readers of the Fenland Citizen chose a kickboxing academy as winner of the readers’ choice award for the second year running.

RKA Kickboxing Academy in March scooped up the award at the Fenland Citizen Business Awards on Friday.

The category was sponsored by Nestle Purina, but it was up to readers to decide who the winner would be.

RKA Kickboxing is run by Stuart Harris and his daughter Paige who have expanded the business since last year.

Stuart said: “It is absolutely incredible, it just shows all the hard work that not just me but all the team is putting in.

“Second year running getting this award, it is absolutely incredible, it shows everyone what we are trying to achieve, what we are trying to build so it just makes it even more rewarding.

“We are about to start our fourth year, we were due to open as we hit lockdown so we never officially opened but we have come out stronger.”

Stuart was handed the award by head of news at Fenland Citizen and Lynn News Rebekah Chilvers, who said: “The Readers' Choice Award was hard-fought again this year but one organisation just pipped the others to the post.”
